Addition and Alteration to existing house.

The clients wanted to alter the existing house to bring in more light and create spaces for a young family to enjoy. Open plan kitchen, dining and sitting areas provide sunny areas to sit all day in winter, and generous overhangs provide shade in the summer. Decks specifically located for morning, midday and afternoon sun link the house to the established garden. A large living area adjacent to the kitchen, dining, sitting spaces incorporates a lower ceiling plane, providing an intimate lounging and entertaining area. In-slab heating, radiators, solar water heating, high spec. inlsulation contribute to creating a warm healthy home.
